Doug BOYD worked for 20 years locally in the Building Industry as a Sales Representative, Sales Manager, Sales Trainer, and Marketing Vice President prior to establishing BOYD BUILDERS, Inc in the Spring of 2002. Doug is the OWNER of the Corporation and takes an active role in all management decisions. Doug is a long-time member of and previously served as the President of our local Builder’s Association– an organization with about 500 members. He has also served as Vice President and currently sits on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. He served as the Chair of the Judging Committee for the 2011 Kaleidoscope of Homes as well as the 2012 Spring Tour of Homes. Doug was selected as the Greater Fort Worth Builder’s Association Builder of the Month in October 2011. He also won Builder of the Year in 2015.
Curtis JOHNSTONE, after having been responsible for the completion of over 450 homes in 4 counties for one of the largest custom homebuilding firms in the United States in the year 2001, came to BOYD BUILDERS, Inc. in July 2002. As President, Curtis has full responsibility and authority to purchase all materials and contract all skilled labor, and he keeps all our permits and licenses up to date. He maintains Banking Relationships and is responsible for obtaining construction loans for each project we build. Under Curtis’ stewardship, BOYD BUILDERS, Inc. has earned and continues to maintain, an “A+” rating from the Fort Worth BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Curtis is also active in the GFWBA and was chosen as the Builder of the Year in 2015 and Builder of the Month for March 2012.
Ed WHITE works directly with Curtis, and Ed is our Construction Manager — attending to the myriad of details involved in creating dozens of homes each year, spread over a large geographic area. Ed’s experience, his people skills, and his eye for detail all contribute to our reputation for excellence.
Joe BOYD left the Banking Industry in 2005 to join our team as an Area Manager, responsible for Market and Sales Activities throughout all of Tarrant County, Johnson County, and Ellis County. Having grown up in the business, Joe has precise comprehension of the many parts which make up a quality home, and Joe uses those skills to help each family create the perfect home to fit their wants, needs, budget, and lifestyle. He enjoys close interaction with every client, every step of the way from beginning to end of each project. Joe has helped grow our business volume to $10 MILLION in one year.
Martina Aguilera has been working with the company for 4 years. She is the Office Manager and we have her to thank for keeping the office running from day to day. She oversees all invoices and helps to ensure that all vendors and employees are paid in a timely manner. She also works with Curtis and Ed to help forecast costs, make budgets, prepare loan requests, construction draws, and much more.
